CONCEPTUAL AND ANALYTICAL MODELS FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF WATER STORAGE SYSTEMS IN SMALL-SCALE IRRIGATION
PART 2: APPLICATION IN THE SOSSEGO STREAM BASIN/ES

Sistemas de armazenamento de água para irrigação em pequena escala são fundamentais para a agricultura familiar, mas ainda carecem de metodologias capazes de integrar diferentes tecnologias, abordagens de planejamento e condições hidrológicas locais. Este estudo aplicou o modelo desenvolvido na Parte 1 desse trabalho, visando discutir seu potencial para caracterização e avaliação desses sistemas em suporte a seu planejamento regional, especialmente no que se refere à definição de sua configuração. Para sua aplicação, adotaram-se hipóteses e simplificações sobre as dimensões e a espacialização dos componentes do sistema. Duas aplicações foram realizadas na bacia do Córrego Sossego – utilizada como meio demonstrativo: (i) um cenário de referência baseado apenas em informações hidroagroclimáticas e (ii) quatro cenários tecnológicos representativos da agricultura familiar. Os resultados mostram que o modelo possibilita estabelecer cenários comparativos, mesmo quando apenas variáveis hidroclimáticas são conhecidas e na ausência de informações detalhadas sobre a configuração das estruturas de armazenamento, bem como diferencia claramente padrões de déficit e capacidade hídrica de armazenamento entre diferentes tecnologias (tanques, cisternas, barraginhas e barragens), oferecendo suporte robusto para a comparação de alternativas e definição de configurações de sistemas de armazenamento em escala regional.
